Fall=Football, Hunting, and Decorating!

We have had a beautiful warm fall. In fact, trying to decorate with such high temperatures for fall was a task in of itself. 90 degrees is not normal but welcomed since it took so long to get us summer. Jonny started Football this year!!! So excited to watch him play being a 6th grader his field time is limited but he is figuring out the game and tonight is the last one.;( A little sad I am but when one season is over another one is right around the corner. And the next one is Hunting! This will also be his first year of hunting. We can't be more excited! Since its his first year he will be able to hunt 2 days early starting the 20th. And his tags are free! Of course my new love of burlap will be appearing this fall as pendants and possible other things. I will post more soon! Gotta keep up on this blog I'm slacking! Also, for my new nephew burp rags!

Personalized Tumbler

sorry its only doing half the picture I will try and get it fixed!!!

In recents months I won a beautiful personalized tumbler. Well, not only was it a big hit with myself but my twin nieces loved it also. So I decided to make them their own. I found these pink and purple tumblers at OLD NAVY for $5.50 each and of course I already had the vinyl from past cricut projects.

I used white, pink, lime green and pale yellow vinyl
my cricut and the Storybook and the Cricut Samplers Cartridges
and of course the tumblers

I hope you enjoyed one of my latest projects!!!

Birthday Banner!! Happy Birthday Jon!!!

I can't believe my son is now 12. The years have flown by way too quickly. I don't want to blink anymore that’s for sure. His birthday is always fun yet bittersweet for me.

This banner is supper easy and can be done many different ways. For this project I used the following:
~burlap
~vinyl in Red, White, and Blue
~twine
~scrap fabric in Red, White, and Blue
~my cricut to cut out the vinyl
~sewing machine to sew the top with Red Thread of course
~a yarn needle

First, I cut my burlap into pendant style pieces. I used 16 for this project so about a 1/2 to 3/4 of a yard since they are not square. Then I cut the vinyl saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY JON with the cricut. IHeart the cricut!!! I applied the vinyl on the burlap and then I folded the burlap over and sewed a zigzag in red. 1/4 of an inch is perfect so that you can thread the twine thru with the yarn needle. Once the twine is threaded thru I hung the banner up and in-between each piece I tied a red, white, and blue piece of fabric strip. And in-between the fabric strips I tied a piece of twine also.
It will be a banner we use for years and years!
